Coca-Cola

The Coca-Cola Company has have a strong commitment with Honduras for over 50 years.

Honduras represents to Coca-Cola one of the biggest markets in Central America. As a funny fact, there's a beach in Honduras called Coca-Cola.

It's democratic tradition, business inclination, the consumer habits of Hondurans and the great importance the government gives to attract and maintain foreign investment in the country, make Honduras an ideal place to invest. In addition, there's qualified labor and a privileged geographic position, due to its nearness to the United States, which is an advantage to companies which would like to export to that country (this is not the case of Coca-Cola, whose local bottler produces and distributes for the Honduran market).

The level of response of the people is wonderful. In 2005 Coca-Cola launched a campaign to name Honduras Country of Optimism. Thanks to the response of Hondurans, a total of 1,190,000 signatures were collected, much more than expected.
